"Troy Davis, owner of Mr. Chimney LLC in Cornelius, told me my chimney's damper was broken and would cost $2,500 to replace, but that he could install a cap damper for $550. Given the alternative, I told him I would take it.

"When I researched the unit, I found a cheaper model for $167. So, I asked his assistant to hold off on the order before it could be placed. Since then, I have canceled the order and asked for a refund three times. I have yet to receive any confirmation."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like a $90 refund from my deposit."
