Bathroom drywall repair angers Mercer Island customer
Seattle Penalty Box
Kraftwork General Contracting
Didn't respond to Carol Stockton's request for a refund for work she says was shoddy and not completed on time.
COMPLAINT: Carol Stockton, Mercer Island, Wash.
I hired Kraftwork General Contracting to paint, repair, remove and replace drywall in a bathroom. The work was terrible.
I hired them because they assured me they could be finished by my deadline. Not only did they not finish until [two days later], but the work they did was shoddy and they left my house a mess.
Even after their cleaning crew came through, I spent the next week vacuuming plaster dust and trying to scrape paint splatters off furniture, woodwork and even carpet.
The final insult was that one of the workers had dumped something in the window box. It smelled like lacquer or turpentine, but they denied they'd do such a thing. I'm looking forward to testing the dirt and sending the results to the state.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want a refund of the money I had to spend on another painter and a soil test to determine if employees dumped a hazardous substance into my window box.
STATUS: Penalty Box
