Bad parts blamed on San Marcos water heater issue
COMPLAINT: Cristin Hackel, San Marcos, Ca.
"Danny Boy Plumbing installed a water heater for me five years ago. It stopped working, but is still under warranty. One week after Danny [Martin, the owner] replaced the control valve, the water heater stopped working again.
"Danny blames the water heater company for making poor quality water heaters, yet he is the one who recommended and installed it."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like a $165 refund."

"I installed a certain brand for her because I believed it to be a quality product. I found the correct part for her, but she chose to call the company for free parts.
"I installed her parts, making sure she understood that I do not warranty parts that don't come from me. Her water heater worked for a week, and I offered to come look at it for free. Had she gotten the correct parts in the beginning, none of this would have happened."
