Auto glass repair doesn't seal the deal, refund requested
COMPLAINT: Kim Steagall, Indianapolis
"I called Superior Auto Glass in Indianapolis to replace the back windows of my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and 2001 Dodge Ram. They quoted me $695, but the actual price was $782. They fixed both windows but left tape around the Ram's window, which they told me needed to stay for 24 hours for the sealant to dry.
"Three hours later, I called them back because the sliding window on the Ram wouldn't lock. They told my husband they'd be back out to fix it a few days later. They rescheduled for a day later, but they didn't call or show up. A day after that, they told me they'd call to reset the appointment, but they never did.
"I had some other estimates performed from other companies, and they said they'd have to redo all the work Superior did. Later, I was driving the Trailblazer and heard a pop, and then my "tailgate ajar" light came on. I pulled over and realized the window was falling out.
"I called Superior, but they said there was nothing they could do about it and hung up. I've since had another company fix both windows."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want to be reimbursed $1,347: $782 for their work and $565 for the repairs I had to hire other companies to perform."
