The repeat leak
COMPLAINT: Richard Trzaskoma, Austin
"I towed my car to Lamb's Tire & Automotive Centers because after a storm it had water on the front and rear floor of the driver's side, and wouldn't start. They reported the windshield leaked and they resealed it. After another storm, there was more water in the car. I had the car towed to Lamb's where they again resealed the windshield. Later, the car again had water on the driver's side and wouldn't start.
"I had it towed to a Volkswagen dealership where they diagnosed the problem as a plugged sunroof drain. The car had so much water on the floor for such a long time, it poured into the comfort control module, which was corroded and needed replaced. My cost was $2,443."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want $1,200 to compensate me for Lamb's errors."
STATUS: Stalemate
Editor's Note: Lamb's Tire & Automotive Centers said they won't offer a refund since the windshield reseal is out of warranty.
