My refrigerator gasket cracked and ripped. This component is covered by First American Home Buyers Protection Corp.

They sent a mechanic to the house, who said the door needed to be replaced. He said he or the company would get back to me. The subcontractor said the gasket was damaged because of food spillage, not normal wear and tear, which is untrue.

Because of the subcontractor's report, the home warranty company is refusing to make repairs.

DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want them to either repair the door gasket or replace the refrigerator.

We independently hired another subcontractor to provide a second opinion about the failures of his kitchen refrigerator. The technician reported the gasket needed to be replaced, and we authorized the technician to make the repairs.
