Atlanta homeowner claims error in HVAC install
COMPLAINT: Nancy Reynolds, Atlanta
"I hired Morningside and Midtown Plumbing Heating & Air of Atlanta to replace the HVAC units in my home and paid a premium for energy-efficient models. They made errors when installing them. An independent energy auditor said they installed the wrong sized units and were sloppy in their installation, which will reduce the energy savings for which I paid extra.
"They also ignored building codes, and may have increased gas safety and combustion risks in my garage. The systems are covered under a one-year warranty, but after months of asking them to help, I have had no response."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "Replace with properly sized HVAC units and add combustion air intake vents."
