COMPLAINT: Lynda Koenemann, Shaker Heights, Ohio
"I hired Professional Clean Carpets and Vents to clean my vents. The employee discouraged cleaning my vent covers by saying it would dirty my floor and that it wasn't his company's policy to do so.
"I called the office to inform them the service representative's behavior wasn't up to par. The woman who answered claimed to be the owner, became defensive and interrupted me. When she began to yell, I hung up the phone.
"Within 24 hours, I noticed water leaking from the ceiling of my second floor bedroom. My A/C unit is on the third floor above that bedroom. So, the company sent another employee, who argued with my husband and denied any wrongdoing.
"The water damage exceeded the cost of [the original] service. The company later accused my husband of fraud, because we have our house up for sale."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "My husband and I would like an apology and $300 for ceiling repairs, or a complete $575 refund."
